Because of requests to include males in my programme, I've opened up White Lion Martial Arts Centre.

Fans of Amazon Nation do not despair! We are still operating just as before, just under the new banner.

Tuition is the same as it is for Amazon Nation:

• Individual - $50.00 Canadian funds per month


• Double (two people signing up at the same time, taking class together) - $45.00 CAN per month per person


• Family (up to four people taking class at the same time, having joined and signed up at the same time) - $130.00 CAN per month for the group


• Local students who wish to take more than one class per week can schedule extra classes at a $5.00 per class drop in fee

The extended format includes a separate ability level description as seen here:

Level One – “Cubs”

Cubs are beginning students of any age, men or women. White, Yellow and Purple Belts are Cubs.

Level Two – “Dark Mane”

Often before white lions reach maturity, their manes are darker. Dark manes are Intermediate students of any age. Orange, Blue and Green belts are Dark Manes. Dark Manes are often asked to help Cubs in their own age group to foster teaching and learning skills, and a further feeling of accomplishment.

Level Three – “White Manes”

White Manes are Advanced students of any age. Red, Red with Black Stripe and Black Belts are all White Manes. They are often called upon to help teach Cubs and Dark Manes. This helps tie us all together, and fosters a feeling of Community and friendship among *all* the levels. In addition to this, students who reach the level of Black Belt are known as “Pride Leaders”. The Head Sensei may call upon them to teach classes in her absence, and Pride Leaders may even wish to become Sensei’s and teach their own classes under the White Lion Martial Arts Centre banner.

All levels earn badges and certificates (and of course belt levels) as they progress up the learning ladder.
